Plugbook in your terminal

Connect Plugbook to Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and VS Code with one command. It needs Node.js 18 or newer.

1. Connect your AI tools

npx plugbook connect

It finds the AI tools installed on your machine and asks before changing each one. Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI are added with their own mcp add commands; Cursor and VS Code get a line in their MCP config file. Each tool then signs you in to Plugbook in the browser the first time you use it. Add --dry-run to see what it would do.

2. Use it from the command line (optional)

npx plugbook login # opens the browser, saves an API key to ~/.config/plugbook
npx plugbook add https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iqy644uOOqM --pack Thumbnails
npx plugbook status --pack Thumbnails
npx plugbook playbook Thumbnails > thumbnails.md
npx plugbook usage

The command-line tools use an API key, so they are pay as you go ($1.00 per media hour, $0.03 per post, $0.05 per build, $5.00 free credit). Calls from your AI tools through the connector use your plan.
